A working system — built to hold us accountable to you, every shift.
The Kololo control room, the client portal, the apps and the integrations behind 1,247 officers. Built and operated in-house since 2017.
Observable, not opaque
Every patrol, alarm, dispatch, and incident is timestamped and exported to your stack on request. Your dashboards see what our control room sees.
Vendor-neutral by design
We integrate with your existing CCTV, alarms, access control, and HRIS. We do not require a rip-and-replace to earn the contract.
Built for Ugandan reality
Cellular failover on every signalling path. UPS on every panel. Solar charging on remote sites. The system runs through Umeme outages because it has to.
Fourteen operators. Two redundant uplinks. One number to call.
Our Tactical Operations Centre is the spine of every contract we operate. It is staffed 24 hours a day, every day, by ASIS-trained operators on a 4-shift rota. Every alarm, dispatch, and patrol check is logged here. Every client SOC sees what we see, in real time, on request.

No black boxes. Named platforms, named for a reason.
We tell you what we run because every line of this list is auditable by your IT and risk teams. If your procurement standard requires a specific platform, we will document the integration before we sign.
Field operations
3 platformsDigital occurrence book on every officer's phone — every entry timestamped, GPS-tagged, exportable as a signed PDF.
GPS-tracked beat checks on every patrol officer — supervisor alerted if a check-point is missed by more than 4 minutes.
Encrypted radio comms on armed-response, VIP, and event details — multi-channel, GPS-aware.
Control room
3 platformsPrimary VMS for client integrations — Kololo TOC operates 14 monitor positions on a redundant SAN.
Alarm receiving and dispatch platform — every alarm triaged, video-verified, and timestamped end-to-end.
Secondary VMS for clients on Hikvision-native deployments; failover from Genetec.
Analytics & detection
3 platformsEdge AI on enterprise sites — line crossing, intrusion, loitering, abandoned object, face match (where contracted).
Alarm-on-detect cameras for SME and mid-tier clients — local AI on the device, no cloud round-trip.
Gate, branch, and convoy LPR — integrates to access-control allow-lists and visitor flows.
Integration & client side
3 platformsMulti-site live view, alarm arm/disarm, incident history, push alerts, duress code. Built in-house, MDM-ready.
Documented API for client SOC integration — incidents, attendance, occupancy, audit logs streamed to your stack.
BambooHR, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, Microsoft Entra ID — credentials provisioned and revoked from your HR system.
Your operations director’s favourite app.
The KampalaGuards Client App is what most of our clients open first thing in the morning — an at-a-glance view of every site, every officer, every overnight incident. It is built in-house and updated quarterly. Released 2020. Currently on v4.2 (March 2026).
- Live site map
Every active site, officer-on-shift, and any open incident — refreshed every 60 seconds.
- Arm / disarm + duress
Arm and disarm any monitored alarm zone you have rights to. Duress code disarms the panel but silently dispatches a response unit.
- Incident timeline
Every incident logged in the last 90 days, with photos, timestamps, and the officer's narrative report.
- Reports on demand
Attendance, occupancy, visitor logs, response-time SLA — exportable to PDF or CSV.
- Multi-user & role-based
Operations director, head of premises, and CEO each see what they need. Role-based access enforced server-side.
- Major releaseQuarterly
- Security patchMonthly · CVSS ≥ 7 in 7 days
- Engineering team9 in-house engineers
- Penetration testAnnual · third-party
- Data residencyUG · backup ZA
The platform is hosted on infrastructure owned by KampalaGuards and operated under our ISO 27001 controls (in audit, 2026). We do not white-label a third-party app.
